GETTIN’ SALTY EXPERIENCE PODCASTJoin us with 30 year FDNY Veteran Captain Craig Silvino of Ladder 127. Appointed to the FDNY in July 1987, assigned to Engine 63 for 4 hours 😊 and then reassigned to Engine 298. In 1988, he transferred across the floor to Ladder 127. Promoted to Lieutenant 4/96 and assigned to Batt 44. He had the 44 R group for 2 years and was Boss of Eng 231 at the Atlantic Ave Fire and was boss of Eng 283 at the Vandalia Ave Fire. He was assigned to Eng 283 around summer of 1998. In 2002 they opened the Brooklyn Bourough Command, he became the XO for DC Kalletta, DAC Kilduff, and then DC Galvin before returning to E283 after 8 months. He was promoted to Captain in Jan 2005 and assigned Div 13. In 2006 he took a detail to the Rock as Tactical Training Unit Head. He attended the West Pt terrorism's program, worked with R & D special projects and the Wind Driven Fire Program. Returned to Div 13 in early 2007 before getting assigned to Capt L127 in the fall 2007. He retired in Dec. 2017 after 30 years. We can't wait to hear the Captain's stories.
