Podcast Ep.56 Our special guest will be retired 36 year FDNY veteran Lt. Larry Mack. He got appointed to the job in 1979, and after six weeks of Proby School was assigned to Eng 238 in Brooklyn. He transferred to Ladder 106 across the floor in 1989. He was promoted to Fire marshal in 1993. He was promoted to Lt in 1994 and was assigned to Engine 50 (South Bronx) in 1995 where he spent 20 years and retired in 2015. He spends alot of time with the FDNY Family Transport Foundation in assisting the families of firefighters in their times of greatest need, in transporting firefighters, family members and department personnel to and from medical institutions both for care and family support. The Foundation is all-volunteer, entirely non-profit, and depends on donations of equipment, funds and service to carry out its mission. You don’t want to miss this one.
