Getting back into it

from A Midwest Conversation · host Grant Eckhart

Back into it! Welcome to the first ep of 2022! If you have already watched the video posted on the Midwest Conversation Youtube page, skip ahead in this episode about 7 minutes! A Midwest Conversation Podcast In this episode, we talk about all things Ohio politics. Two bills surrounding gun ownership and the right to protest passed the statehouse this week. We discuss what they are all about and what they mean for the future if they pass. Rob Portman is set to retire this year, which means there will be a seat open in the US Senate representing the state of Ohio. This week there was a debate between Josh Mandel and Morgan Harper. Morgan is an AOC-style lefty, and Josh is a classic Trump MAGA warrior. Needless to say, it was entertaining. Another US Senate hopeful, GOP candidate J.D Vance held a town hall with voters in Toledo, Ohio. We speak about what he stands for and our interaction after the debate.
