Getting Better Doesn't Start at Perfect

from The Interesting Health & Safety Podcast · host Colin Nottage

Improving and developing is a continual, ongoing process. No one ever starts at perfection. In this week’s show, Colin talks about the importance of perception when it comes to not just our goals, but our starting points. KEY TAKEAWAYS Performance and improvement are exactly that - they are about continually striving to become better. Everything is relative. What happened yesterday isn’t always important. The best way to realign and develop is to mark where you are today, and move forwards. Don’t strive for perfection. Strive instead for incremental, ongoing improvements. You will fail if you believe that you have to be perfect every day. BEST MOMENTS ‘We often judge ourselves on where we’d like to be, rather than where we are’ ‘Today is your new starting point’ ‘If you can strive for that, then you’ll be going a long way towards the results you want to achieve’ VALUABLE RESOURCES The Interesting Health & Safety Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/vn/podcast/the-interesting-health-safety-podcast/id1467771449   ABOUT THE HOST Colin Nottage ‘Making health and safety as important as everything else we do.’ This is the belief that Colin is passionate about and through his consultancy Influential Management Group (IMG) is able to spread into industry.
