Getting Ready to Renew

There are times in our lives when, like Israel, we find that we have been disobedient and unfaithful to God, or at least out of step with what God desires for us. When such times occur, we must renew some important commitments and understandings: 1. We need to renew our grasp of God's plan for our lives, because God is committed to completing what God starts in the lives of God’s people. 2. We need to renew our appreciation for God’s ability to provide what is needed. 3. We need to renew our respect for and submission to God’s holiness. We can only go so far without our renewed respect for this essential nature of God. This weekend we will witness through the story of Joshua and the people, God’s amazing grace and willingness to join in our renewal.
