Getting Through Life's Sh*tstorms | John Verbi - 649

Well, this episode is SUPER special to me. John Verbi is not only a very good friend, but a great human and a spectacular representation of strength, love and generosity. This last 8-9 months however, life has well and truly thrown him the gauntlet.  In early December 2022 John suffered the unfathomable devastation of losing his son Tim in a tragic accident at home, an experience no father should have to go through. The impact of the grief and sadness pressed a very short pause on a surgery John had scheduled in early 2023. Surgery for John to donate his kidney, a promise made over a couple of beers a few years before (as you do).  Being well under a year since all this took place, I really wasn't sure how much of John's experience he might want to share on this day.
