Gettysburg, Model Slot Cars, and Camel Cigarettes

On this episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, we remember Gettysburg, both the town and the battle. Ian recalls details of the brutal battle that ensued there on July first through third, 1863. Smitty and Mike add their thoughts on this turning point of the Civil War. Mike tells us all about slot cars. Remember the slot car tracks you could go to back in the 1960s? You could race your slot car against other enthusiasts, or play at home with your own slot car layout. There were even teams and groups of individuals who would build and modify their own special cars. Such brands as Eldon, Strombecker, and Aurora are recalled. Two of our friends and listeners have identified the "What is it" item on our web site page. We tell you who guessed correctly and what the item was. Our Retro-Commercial has to do with doctors and Camel Cigarettes. Listen in and find out more on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
