Ghana Launches Marrify App to Check Your Partner’s Marital Status Before Marriage

Ghana has launched Marrify, a new digital platform designed to help prospective couples verify a partner’s marital status before saying “I do.”Launched in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Marrify operates as a searchable marriage registry, bringing together information from sources including the Registrar-General’s Department, courts, assemblies and the Ghana Gazette.The platform also allows users to check whether marriage venues, churches, pastors and Imams are properly licensed and registered to conduct marriages.Support the show
