She has been interested in the paranormal since she was very young and that interest has carried into both her personal and professional life. Darcy's research areas include race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, ideals and institutions, and death, dying, and grief in American culture. As an artist and performer, Darcy is a podcaster, comedian, writer, and amateur magician. She currently resides in a haunted house in Southern CA.
