Brighton's finest Tru Thoughts is one of those and it's already been going on for 15 years now… Reason enough for Paris DJs to celebrate the label's 15th anniversary, by inviting four of their artists to do an exclusive mix, starting with UK Sound System Culture sensation Ghost Writerz. The duo is the first signing of Tru Thoughts brand new sub-label Sharp and Ready, designed to spotlight the "new wave" of artists on the UK sound system scene... (sharpandready.com) Besides Quantic and DJ Vadim, this mix was for us a source of a lot of new discoveries. Paris DJs is, obviously, based in Paris, and we don't have any (other) media about groovy music over here in France so it's hard to find out about new bands. The reggae/dub/soundsystem scene has always been big in the UK, but it has been years if not decades since it started getting THAT interesting again. This mix sets things right.
