"The caller on my radio show said that she always felt a presence in the car on her way into work. Maryann then said, 'Yes, he's in the back seat. He's looking at your blue butterfly clip that holds your ponytail.' The caller let out a huge scream!" ---------- I wasn't sure if I believed in ghosts or not. Then, I met Maryann. For 25 consecutive Halloween mornings, Maryann Winkowski, who inspired the CBS television hit series Ghost Whisperer, would join me on the radio. We would take calls from listeners who believed they had a ghost in their house. Many did. I would push Maryanne to prove that she could see what she said that she could see. She did so with dazzling accuracy. I have never seen anyone prove the existence of ghosts better than Maryann. She turned the subject matter into a no-brainer for me and the listening audience. I'm going back into the archives ten years for this interview with Cleveland's best-known ghostbuster. Beyond stating the case that ghosts are real, the overwritten message is what can happen in the afterlife, when we become so irrevocably stuck to the physical things of this earth.
