GHS- Pepperell Police Chief Dave Scott, a colon cancer patient at Dana-Farber joins the show

Dave is the police chief of the Pepperell Police Department, a position he has been in for the last 11 years. His colon cancer has spread to his liver and lungs. He is seen by Dr. Marios Giannakis as well as Dr. Jeanna Walsh in Londonderry. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer when he was 49 years old. He began having stomach issues which at first, he dismissed as indigestion. The doctor sent him for a work-up on his heart, initially. Through tests they discovered lesions and in March 2021 he was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. Chief Scott is going public with his cancer journey to educate others that an increasing number of younger people are getting diagnosed with colon cancer.  Chef Scott is married with two sons. He has continued working as police chief during his treatment.
