🎙️(31/05/2026)Πέρασαν 85 χρόνια από την Μάχη της Κρήτης (20 Μαϊου με 1 Ιουνίου 1941) όταν ο πόλεμος έφτασε στο υπερήφανο νησί. Η Κρήτη έμελλε να γνωρίσει μια σφοδρή και πρωτόγνωρη αεροπορική επίθεση και να γίνει εργαστήριο για έναν τρόπο πολέμου που μόλις εμφανιζόταν. Παράλληλα όμως οι Κρήτες και οι μαχητές των συμμαχικών και ελληνικών δυνάμεων έδωσαν σκληρές και ηρωικές μάχες, και κόστισαν σχεδόν την καταστροφή του σώματος των αλεξιπτωτιστών του Γ' Ράιχ.Ο Γιάννης Πρεκατσουνάκης, ιστορικός ερευνητής, συλλέκτης και συγγραφέας του βιβλίου "The battle of Heraklion", συζήτησε με τον Γιάννη Χαραλαμπίδη για τις "Ιστορίες του Ηρακλείου" του Newshub για την μάχη γύρω και μέσα στο Ηράκλειο από την πρώτη ως την τελευταία ημέρα, βήμα βήμα.
