All right. Can you believe that happened? I know. It's December 21st, 2018.

Jan, where'd you go last night? I fell asleep at eight. No. I just knew yours.

Missed it again. Smooth again next year. I woke up when the fireworks are going off and my cats got pissed. Hey, hi.

It's December 21st. Is it January 1st is a Tuesday? It's Tuesday. Today is January 1st came in.

Should I'm late? It's right. Hello. Grabbing baby New Year by the horns.

That's right. Baby New Year has horns. Devil baby. Doggy.

Doggy. No. Okay. Shit.

Man, I thought we were going to maybe have a better luck in 2019. But if fake evil review, dime store evil review is the signifier of the New Year. You're in trouble. It's a cool scarf.

Yeah. That's just his headband. That's not a scarf. Oh, it just fell down.

Well, that guy's cool. I had a little Chris Jericho look to the scarf kind of vibe here. I'm Jeff Gerson, bread shoemaker is out on assignment. Jason Hryker is here.

Hello. Hello. Hello. How you doing?

Hey, great man. Awesome. Ben Hryker is here. Hello.

Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Oh.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Okay. Hey. Hey. Hey.

Hey, Hey. Let's go to the popcomputer. Hi, babe. Hey, geeky, come on.

Hi. Hey. Hey. Here.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey, guys.

Hey. **** Oh,ASX. You don't know exactly what? How you do?

and do you should say to wear it right. I watch the purple. Put it on as a green brown. Whulry in your hand if it has quite a bit healing on your hand.

What's the top color of your finger? Thank you. Do you? Great, okay.

I haven't thought that far ahead. Okay, no, I like it. I just leave in the moment. Hell yeah.

At any given time, what's the best thing we could be doing? This show. Streaming, streaming, streaming. Turn it on.

Just turn it on. The pole machine's gonna be on. Just walk in. We're gonna have a walk in show.

We're gonna have a laugh track. Yep, yep. We're gonna have a whole multi-cam, two-cam sitcom. Yeah, multi-cam sitcom.

We're getting a glass bottom toilet. All this stuff. Dax Shepherd. Dax Shepherd's coming through.

Fucking Dax, oh boy. Joinin' up. He's gonna be working in a managing editor capacity. Yeah, slash mail room.

Yeah, to make sure that stuff goes smoothly. And over here, so over the holidays, not a ton of happening, a lot of the games came out and all that sort of stuff. But we do have some emails from you and some voice mail from you that came into the Giant Bomb After Show. Giant Bomb Aftermath.

Giant Bomb Aftermath. We took a couple of weeks off the after show for Game of the Year, so the voice mail has really started to pile up and we thought, what better way to just flush them out here? That's right. Put them out here on the Giant Bomb cast, so you can be aware of the quality voice mail that are being left on that after show.

It's gonna start the year with a cleanse anyway. Oh, exactly. I definitely wanna just jab the hose up there. Lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and voicemails.

That's all I eat for the entire month of January. I feel great. After a quick hospital stint, I feel great. Yeah, I put those pads on my feet and they just talk since right out.

And then that deletes on my voicemails is part of that process, which is great because I don't listen to them anyway. This isn't actually a watch, it's actually just like a band of voicemails that I can present at any time. It's weird. I don't actually listen to the voicemail that comes to my phone.

No, I shouldn't. I just see you called and called them back. I get a transcript now, so yeah, I guess I can't believe it. Yeah, I guess the transcript stuff.

Nine does call screening, actually. A little pick up the phone. This is Jason's phone. What do you want?

Like in your voice? No, okay. It's not, it's like Google. Yeah.

And then they start to leave a message and they'll actually play out in real time. In text form. Hey, pick up. Hey, pick up.

Hey, it's me, pick up. Just one, Jason. Yep. Dude, pick up.

Dude, dude, dude, dude. And then I hang up. Yeah, dude. And then it just cuts off.

That's smart. So yeah, I don't know. We got all that stuff from you, the listener, or viewer, hello. And then we're gonna talk about the games of 2019.

A little bit here. You know? Some announcements? Yeah, that was a great year.

It was a great year. The game of the year 2019. Right here. Fitness boxing.

Who would have thought? ITONUORY4TH and just stayed number one all year long? Sometimes we tend to forget those games that really come up really long. Not with fitness boxing, it really is.

It's a really, really fun. All the categories, wow. Yeah, it is. It is the best boxing, surprisingly.

That one too, we sports three. Yeah. Weird. But especially because we sport three doesn't have boxing in it.

But still, you know, you can kind of hold the controllers and do what they're doing. It's got you can do like a Let's Tapping with the box. And we kind of bent the rules of the category. category.

That is a box. You are boxing that if drumming is hitting a drum is not boxing hitting a box. Yeah, that's what boxing day is about. Exactly.

Thank you. Canadians to all of our Canadian friends listening around the world. Let's start with an email here. Or Canadians can't travel to get passports.

They're still Canadian if they're in Peru. If you're a Canadian listening to this podcast in Peru, we want to hear right now. We definitely want to hear especially from you send me a picture. Yeah.

Also, let's get into some of these emails here. Scott from Wagga Wagga Australia. Yeah, Scott provided Yeah, he provided a pronunciation key. Wagga Wagga.

And is Fuzzy and Pac-Man both from the front there. Just wondering if you guys thought the launch titles for the next gen conference, you know, go for Fox 2019. We're gonna go even further out here. One of you guys thought the launch titles for the next generation of consoles will actually be as big a deal this time.

If as most everyone expects the PlayStation five and new Xbox are both fully backwards and patable, will it just be close to a PS4 Pro or Xbox one launch? Maybe something new with some beat up graphics move the frame rate on the next gen stuff with also being on previous generation as well. That way they just continue on their current their current development cycles for new games. I wonder how much is going to be straddling in both the consoles.

Like in this last one, the first time that I'd seen that is, you know, when we went from like 360 to Xbox one, we're seeing Assassin's Creed on both consoles. Right. Like, I wonder how they're going to handle that. It happens a lot, a lot more this time.

But like there's stuff like, there are a lot of PlayStation one games that you think of as PS two games. Like Tony Hawk four came out on PS one. Yeah. And sort of three for that matter.

And you have a Zelda on the game tube and we right around the wild and then Zelda on the so you know, the switch and switch to right. Yeah, I think that I think that if the new consoles are just fully backwards and patable, I think you could see something like that where like, Hey, some of the games coming out in the six to eight months prior to the launch, we'll theoretically look a lot better on the next stuff and they'll, you know, kind of build some kind of bridge. That's kind of like the PS four to PS four pro comparisons. Maybe you wouldn't know more of a jump than that.

Well, I think those games might not be but games built from the ground up for those new hardware would probably take better advantage of it. But it's hard to say, you know, it's like PC games, you know, these console games are kind of hitting a certain mark and then the PC versions look better already. So if we're thinking about it, the next consoles might just make games look like PC games look right now. Okay, which is not a is there any time shift, but developer specifically in your mind that really are kind of the forerunners of ushering in the new like, is there anyone out there that's like, there's really good work on kind of showing what new consoles are capable of or types of games even.

I think lately, like modern examples, I think of Forza. Oh, yeah, as being kind of like the early example of like, Hey, check out what this thing to do. And that's part of that's just because car games are easy for that because people know what cars look like. Yeah.

And so when the cars start looking better, whether cars with cars with a 360, it was sweat. It was all those bad. It was like that basketball game and everyone had it. Yeah, everyone was just wet.

It was great. Wet basketball players. Just stare at them. Also, hair hair effects.

So what's the kind of is a ray tracing going to be? Yeah, I don't know. It doesn't seem like it's like something cool new thing. It doesn't it doesn't seem like the cool new thing right now for PC, like it exists technically, but you know, there isn't that taking advantage of it.

And the performance when you turn on ray tracing is not, you know, it does take a bit take a fairly big hit. I guess some recent drivers may be fixed that in battlefield, right? So it's too early to tell with with that stuff. And that stuff is so expensive right now, like, it figured they'll be right, maybe just a simplified version kind of like with HDR, we're seeing in councils right now there.

Right. They're kind of a, I don't know if it's like a skill-back version or what? It's probably, I mean, it's HDR. But well, not this red data, I guess, but but generally speaking, it's proper proper HDR.

Yeah. I mean, it's the PC, if anything, that has a hard time with HDR stuff, just because there are not a lot of HDR monitors out there yet. Right. Okay, that's one thing.

Yeah. So so that'll probably catch up because Windows does have HDR stuff like built in at the OS level. So for like, I put my computer up to my TV, I can do all the HDR stuff and games look great, but then sometimes games that didn't support HDR look all messed up. I haven't done it a long time.

I'm sure the drivers have probably gotten better with that stuff. But yeah, I don't know. It's, I could see it going down the way that all Waga Waga Scott has put it out there. Maybe it is just kind of a rolling like, Hey, we're just gonna keep making the games we're making.

And these games are ready around the time of the launch. They were gonna schedule some big kind of bangers for that time frame, because they want to have those, but generally just kind of keeps the pace. I don't know. It's hard to say.

Mwaga Waga. Oh, I'm going to do you, Jan, you want to hit me with a voice mail? Yeah. Hey, Jeff and Ben, it's Mike from Minnesota, and that was fight Goku or Bugs Bunny.

Don't be pretty dumb. Bugs Bunny is seems pretty smart. But he is to me, he is the epitome of cartoon violence of that kind of like, like, without limits. I feel like Bugs Bunny is power level like, theoretically, and just, yeah, it's not only a decision, but he can do it.

No limits on to sell either. No morals. No. He often tricks his best friend to being shot in the face by the hunter.

Like, do you think Goku is just as smart as Elmer Fudd? And you're saying like the same? It's like a level that Bugs Bunny's disguises will fool him instantly? Absolutely.

Okay. Absolutely. Okay. Yeah.

What would he disguise himself as the full Goku? Frieza in a dress. Yeah. Okay.

You're right. Sexy Frieza. Sexy Frieza. What's actually your Frieza?

I guess I should write and go through his eyes will pop out of his head. He'll go, Oh, yeah. Yeah. I for a while.

And yeah, I think this is what you know, a lot of people, the classic is, Oh, we're gonna go through Superman, blah, blah, I feel like that's too, like, peril. Like, it's like, Oh, a really strong guy or a really strong guy. Right. This is more like a crafty, weakly and with infinite resources versus a man with infinite power.

I feel like it's kind of a joker Batman situation. Sure. Like, like his Goku is about the other is Bugs Bunny a cue because he seems like he can kind of do anything and pull anything from anywhere and all that sort of stuff. Like, you know, like he's in a cartoon.

So he's like secretly omnipotent. Yeah. In a way that like, it's never just never been tested. You know, to the full extremes.

I think not even super saying God, super saying Goku could land and hate on Bugs Bunny. Honestly, if I'm being honest, I don't think I don't think Goku has a chance. Honestly, if I'm being honest, I think I think maybe it would I honestly, I think that Goku would underestimate Bugs Bunny. But he would get some hits in.

Okay. You know, like he would land. I'm not sure about that. But yeah, Bugs Bunny for Smash.

Oh, yeah. Oh, that'd be great. Also, I feel like by the end of it to be friends. Yeah, probably.

Yeah. They're going off to Pismo Beach. Now Daffy ex Vegeta is something I want to see a little more like from like a fighting perspective or like a like, what's it on Tumblr? But well, yeah, that's sadly my, you know, you can't see my art on Tumblr anymore.

2018 was a real bummer. Yeah, you know, ups and downs for sure. Looking forward, looking forward, we're in the new we're in 2019, we're in 2019, we're giving $5 to pillow four dot IO and signing for an account there instead of the tumbler because they will, I don't know, I've not looked at before. I saw their charge money.

I was like, I don't know, I don't need to, I don't need to do that. So 2019, kind of go back and forth here. Yeah. I got to listen to some, some releases here.

I'm not fucking around fitness boxing is a game that exists for Switch. Nintendo is putting it out on January 4th. Punch with the joyous ones probably. Yeah, perfect time to use resolution.

Yeah, I'm gonna get in shape. I'm gonna box some boxes. You've got announced in July. And remember that?

No, neither do I. No, like it was a demo out. Okay, you can get a demo on the eShop for this. It's been there for a while.

And like I went to go look at this list and and it's got it's got Funkytown in it. Okay, it's got Funkytown. It's got timber in it. Funkytown is a good song.

Funkytown is a good song. People really sleep on Funkytown, I think. I do not. Okay, I do not sleep on Funkytown.

That's smart. You want to start the day. A little funky moves like jagger all the hits are pleasant. Can you play as any arms characters in this?

I don't know. I haven't seen a screenshot. It looks like it has coaches that are not the we fit trainer, but have a somewhat similar look from the one kind of promo image I saw. I'm not gonna weigh in on whether it has sexy or sexy or maybe not quite as sexy, but they're probably in the ballpark.

It's both those we fit trainers. They're fit. And they can fight. They can fight put in smash.

Yeah, so much to do that. Then we've got let's see, Ace Combat 7 is January release. I feel like that game's been in development forever, like having seen it at multiple shows and stuff. Like since it's been in development since the last one, I think.

Yeah, probably. At least. Yeah, no, they started around Ace Combat 4. We really want to take the strange real and get stranger and realer.

I want to see where this goes. No, it's a they got their VR thing this time. Yeah, that's the only way I've seen that game has been in VR. And it's it seems fine.

I don't know. I want the VR view to be from one of the wing of the wing of the wing. So we're like holding on to the win. Pretty good.

That'd be great. Can you do like the fist pump? Yeah, free really thing. Yeah, let's hope.

That was like the best quick time. But that's that's that was from that weird offshoot Ace Combat that was not I don't think that was part of the it was not part of the strange real. I don't know anything about his combat. It's got a deep war really called the strange real.

Yeah, and we are then this game is taking us back to the strange real. Oh, good. So I need to play like one through four to kind of get it. It's not even one through four.

It's like four through five. I don't know. I don't actually know which ones are telling the story, but like they've had weird things where they were like telling these very personal stories of like kids and stuff set against the backdrop of air superiority. Like it's a it's way more stories and way better than you would have ever given them credit for sure.

Same day Travis strikes again. No more. Yeah, cool. That's a game.

I have my eye on. I love both of those. It is exclusive. I thought about it the other day.

I went to kind of look into it and see what's up with that game. And there's like some preview. It seems to be some preview events happening around it. You're playing it saying that it's a little less a little less like dick humor in there.

What which is surprising to me. Yeah, I can recharge your bean katana. Exactly. I don't know even how you can do that.

If you're not simulate enough. Yeah. But that one's weird. It's like a bunch of mini.

It's like a bunch of mini games and like inspired by or taking from other indie games. Yeah, it's like a heavy burger. S kind of like here's all these other weird things where Travis kind of blending these worlds together. Cool.

Yeah, it's got to. Yeah, levels set within Hotline Miami and Shovel Knight. Oh, okay. No, wait, those are.

Yeah, there's a lot of. Yeah, it sounds like there will be various things where there will be a t-shirt that Travis can wear that references other games or like more direct kind of gameplay type things. Yeah, I guess I've been unclear as to what exactly that game is. It sounds like it's pretty different than the other no more.

Yeah, which I think is a good thing because those games can they're good and they're fun, but they're just kind of average beat them up. You know, and I like that they're going to change up the format. Yeah, Resident Evil 2 is also a January release. Yeah, average beat on the looks of things.

No, that looks great. The remaster does. Yeah, it does look really good. I have a particular fondness for that game in general.

And seeing the treatments that they've made on like the first one, right? I can't wait for this. This is going to be pretty cool. And they were played already too.

I'm excited to really get in there and yeah, I'm holding out for director's cut. Little chalk edition, right? The remaster of it. Yeah, the remaster.

I'll give one more crack at it after that. January 29th, there's a game coming out here. Kingdom Hearts 3 is a third. I don't even third Kingdom Hearts.

Around like 2.5 and a half over three. Yeah. I really hope the weight was worth it. But have you been jamming?

Jan, how long really have you been like, man, I can't wait for the next Kingdom Hearts. Has it been like one Kingdom Hearts two came out? Okay, I wasn't sure if it was like all that time or just when they announced three, you were like, yeah, it's one of those deals where I've tried to tune into these side stories or like these filler games that they tried to add in and none as a Kingdom Hearts fan, none of it just seems to make any sense or just conviluting a already convoluted story that I hope this game delivers somehow on anything that they've promised. Do you want to I mean, you want to see the second Keyblade War?

I want to see Keyblade War two. Yeah. World Keyblade War two. Yep.

WKB to to that. I don't even know if my expectations are high or I just want this to be I want this to come out and I want it to be something you want to be validated. I don't even know it's validation. You want that one review?

You kind of just get the anticipation part of it done. Exactly. Let's see what it is good or bad and then like we'll be done with the anticipation and and not have to wonder about it. It'll just be done.

Yeah, we can stop making jokes at Kingdom Hearts 2 or Kingdom Hearts 3. Oh, we'll just begin started. Well, that's why I mean that we can like move on and wait more knowing exactly. We can make fun of it for if it actually is a bad game, which I think it might be.

And then like, I don't know, I revisited Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 like over the break. And man, third person action games beat him up games have gone along. Yeah. They've evolved and meant for sure.

I saw a video on the internet of some of the early parts of Kingdom Hearts 1. And boy, it sure seems terrible. Yeah. And like, I don't know if it's just because I was young at the time that I didn't know any better, but then like, you play something like Bayonetta and how that just flows so smoothly.

And like, it's juggling so many different systems of actually like hacking and slashing versus and like all these other power ups. It's juggling juggling juggling juggling. Yeah. Yeah.

You would hope that that translates somewhere into Kingdom Hearts. But I just don't know. Well, hard because like they originally, you know, they wanted Kingdom Hearts to be this like very base level thing that people who didn't play a lot of games could get into. Yeah.

Yeah. So if you think about it, like the they want to appeal to the Square fan that's playing menu driven RPGs, at least at the time, when Kingdom Hearts 1 came along, like the the action component of it, I remember being kind of a big deal of people like, Oh, I don't know. This is not my game. I just want to hit the fight button and do this and do that, you know, like kind of wanting that setback.

Yeah. And it's weird how I feel like Kingdom Hearts is kind of affected Square's trajectory in like the mainline Final Fantasy series. Yeah. That it's going to be interesting to see how that growth through Final Fantasy in seeing how they'll turn it back around on Kingdom Hearts 3 if they have learned anything from those games.

Right. Because I mean, Final Fantasy 15, like you have a functional party that works. Yeah. And like, flesh out characters that you may not get too attached to like you you learn to grow to like them, at least they at least build systems in there for this type of stuff.

Yeah. And and it is a little more action for sure. Plus that, it's really long with the car without it. It's it's I would say like super slap.

No, it's not like it's like, okay. Yeah. Okay. I'll bump this once.

It's not a proper slumber. You're but it's yeah, you wouldn't find it in the slap city. No, no, no, that's very exclusive. Yeah.

Also, January comic core, which is that power stone game. Oh, right. Yeah. Switch.

Well, yeah, I know about that. But you know, January 10th, I think cool. Yeah, that'll be the pretty good multiplayer game for Switch. All right.

Only take another email here. Yeah, we got. Let's see. Are now are now from Barcelona.

So I'm loving ranking of fighters hands down the best ranking show I'm following at the moment. I agree. There are other ranking shows. Yeah, so I'm sure this tone is weird.

It's plain to see Mr. Ben Pack gravitates towards big burly characters when given the choice. Is there a character type that may be unconsciously you guys end up using more, you know, even in non fighting games? Do you have to type when it comes to characters gravitate towards charge characters?

Jeff likes the view of any game is disgusting, short grapplers, but I play a fair amount of eager. Yeah, I think that's the first that I go to. Yeah, I mean, when I started playing trying to like actually learn how to play fighting games, it was, you know, a lot of a street there for was really the first game that I was like, okay, I'm gonna actually study and learn these characters and learn like strategies and learn matchups and stuff like that. And the first character I picked was forgot, because he was tall.

Okay, I find myself like, it's like, I can get in that role, and that's just understand this man extends out for anything like there's just I was watching a season of the great of British big, big, great British big, big, big in show. Yes, we call it a call. There's like a beer thing. I don't think it's actually called Bake Off as I have.

What's this basic scene on it? The great Paul Hollywood. I know the show. There was a really tall guy named Ian and I was like, Oh, that guy to win.

Yeah, no other reason than he understands the struggle. All right. But yeah, the same kind of targeting that's the guy that picked up. Yeah, right.

And then and then I found out, Oh, actually, like the way Zangief plays, I never played grapplers in fighting games. I'm actually enjoying this. And from that moment, like I'll always try the grappler first usually unless I it's either the real or the grappler. Those are my go to for me, I think it's, you know, when I start playing a game, I kind of want to see like, what's the standard character the their take on the standard fighting game character?

Because I think that and maybe it doesn't but in my head that would give me some insight into how the rest of the game works. It's like, Okay, well, if this is how they're handling this, then maybe I can start to extrapolate from there and think about like, Oh, well, okay, maybe they're gonna do this, this and this. But in a lot of other games, I don't know, like I usually want to do a little bit of everything because I'm usually only going to play a game once. And so I usually don't gravitate towards like weird characters or like, like systems that feel like one off things that were made for like one character class or something like, I don't like classes and MMOs.

And you know, or classes like the Rogan Wow, I don't know if it still does this, but that I feel like you're building up the combos or spending the meter and stuff like that. Like, that's like, I don't necessarily like hunting horn in Monster Hunter, something that's like, yeah, very much. Yeah, that's that's usually not me. And again, like Monster Hunter, like I definitely gravitate towards like the lightning fast weapon, like games that have that kind of slower combat more deliberate pace to them.

There's a part of me that wants to disrupt that as much as I can to be like, I want to think it's always attacking. This always fucking shit up. And so I'll kind of go in that direction, I guess. But yeah, I usually kind of want to just be like in the middle, not necessarily go master anyone thing, but I want to try it all.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, like a healing or a sport class when I first try out a game, I find it's a good way to good easy way to like learn a map and like see how other characters behave. Plus, you're always welcome in like every party.

Yeah, like first time I picked up Overwatch, I was like, well, I'll be mercy because she's gonna be healing. And then like, oh, I'll get a good sense of where to go, where people are hiding. Like, that and like when I play TF2, I love being the engineer because then you can kind of like hang back and like, see the flow of combat and adjust on the fly like 20 to be a little bit more offensive or like should be defensive and stuff. Yeah.

For like RPGs though, I think like the whole quick and fast type deal to disrupt the monotony of waiting for the systems to load up. Yeah, makes sense. Justin Risen says, why the hell are Rockman four kids on Xbox one $800? Well, I want Xbox one instruments to finally abandon my 360.

But there's no way I'm spending the better part of a grant to do it. What gives? Imagine that stuff just is not being manufactured anymore. I had no idea that they were that high.

Wow. That must just be especially those original band kits from before the mad cat stuff before they went under because then they signed a new deal to get more instruments made, I think. But really? I don't know.

It's a blur, man. I don't even I don't remember for sure. But I imagine it's just a scarcity thing where that stuff just isn't being made in great quantities. So there's a bit of a high price tag on it.

You think that stuff might be higher quality to try and warrant the high price tag? High quality than the 360 stuff may be like not cheap, not cheap, but like plenty of plastic. Maybe. Yeah.

I don't know what the what the last batch of instruments that made was. I just know like mad cats did that deal to do Rockman stuff and then mad cats went out of business. And I think the brand is back. I sold it to somebody like some of that stuff has come back is coming back.

Jan, what's your voice, Melanie? Hell, yeah. That's me from Highland Michigan. So the three comics that comes along with making an IO account in Hitman 2.

And at the end, it has just the most bizarre ads. There's an ad for a grumpy cat guard field crossover. And like, I'm often not surprised that it exists. But I still think it's just a real dumb.

What's either the dumbest crossover that you've seen happen or the wackiest yet most likely to happen one that you can think of? Thanks, guys. Oh, man. Wacky crossover.

Wacky crossovers. How about space? Jane was pretty weird growing up as a kid. It's like Looney Tunes and basketball?

Yeah. Who would win a fight bugs by the end of Michael Jordan? I mean, they would team up. That's all I got.

Yeah, right. I keep going back to some caliber games. Oh, sure. Like, I give it over a small one or something like that.

But then also, like, on the opposite end of the spectrum, the latest old caliber, the Geralt's and now to be both being implemented. They're really good fits. And Tekken with like a Kuma in Tekken was a wild idea at that time. Very suspicious.

No way this will work. And it totally did. Yeah. Huh.

Should you fit across second? Weird as shit. Yeah, I can cross through. I don't remember that really fat.

Oh, God. Yeah. When the Flintstones met the Jetsons, that shit was wild. That shit was crazy.

Because then you realize, like, Oh, these are the same show. Yeah, this is the same show. See, when they did, you know, Scooby-Doo meets John Cena. That was that made sense.

You know, didn't know it was just like Blen is in it. Then the WWE go to like the Jetsons world. That sounds right. Yeah, that sounds like a show we can like a death spot in like the future.

I think they did a I want to say they did a they did a Flintstones thing as well. Okay, because there's like a Flintstones version of Vince McMahon. Yeah, he's been around for that long. Yeah.

Yeah, that's us. That stuff's bizarre. If you want to leave a voicemail for the after show for 2019, you can call up a 707 exit flu EXIT FLU. Okay, we don't need to read the actual number.

Look at your phone and figure out what that is in numbers and then dial it that way. 707 something. 707 something. They don't have something that gets something else.

I don't know. I don't know what they'll get. But it ain't us. Getting back to somebody's 2019 games.

February looks like it's got some decent stuff here. Got it or three. That's all I need. Yeah.

It's all I need. Actually, I've been playing that since January sometime because they have a demo coming out. Yeah. I've been playing it since then.

Well, that's not going to play it more. That's yes, you could put a whole game or PC and PS4 is what it looks like. I mean, then a few short days after that on the 12th trials rising will be out. Yeah, yeah, then you play it.

Yeah, you play some trials. I have played some trials. It's back. It's back to it's just kind of basic like the no tricks, no, like there's three to four different kinds of bikes you can use that you have their own advantage.

Like this one's better at top speed or this one's better at, you know, turning like or angling from angle faster, but really it's just trials. Again, they have that co-op mode right in the tandem bike stuff, which is going to have like, I don't think it's going to be something that a lot of people are going to do, but it's very fun. And the fact that you can get that's the fastest bike in the game is going to lead to some fun like speedrun shenanigans where two people are going to have to be very instinct. One person holding two controllers.

Yeah, it's illegal. My feet. Yeah. What if I use my feet?

Can I borrow a controller from you? I need a second one. Okay, fine. But where this for my feet?

Where this? No, I can't. It doesn't feel right. If I'm wearing the sock, it doesn't feel good.

Crackdown three is out on the 15th. Apparently, all these days are subject to change, I guess I should say, because who can who can say really? I really want to see that thing. It's not necessarily out of a super excitement for what they've shown.

Sure. Because when they did show it back in three, I think there's a lot of time I saw it. Yeah, I saw it there too. It didn't look great.

All right. Okay, they're doing something that I think the thing that is most interesting to me is they're really expanding on that system. I forgot to call it where like there's gang leaders and then there's like leaders above the leaders. There's kind of that hierarchy of not necessarily nemesis system like thing, but there's an organization to each of the gangs and you can kind of influence it by going after certain like, you know, you go after the commander here and these guys are going to be less I think if that's a school, it can make the game a little interesting.

That can be fun. It's weird. It's just the whole thing just sounds like a throwback to the type of open world game that isn't really getting made much anymore. And like on one hand, that sounds kind of cool.

On the other hand, I feel like a lot of those games got more sophisticated for a reason. Yeah, and this might like on one hand, you have Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which, you know, might complaints with that game are like, Oh, it can be bogged out a little bit. You have to do so much to be able to do anything. Yeah.

And this is just like right up to gate, you can probably blow up half the city if you wanted to. Probably probably. Dead or live six looks like the same day. Cool.

Yeah. Yeah, destructible stages are back. You can get eaten by t-rex great or taken away by a tear ductile. That's pretty cool.

That does sound pretty good. Yeah, a little like in the middle of the match. Yeah, just like in the middle of the match. That's crazy.

The light that appears under your health bar and when it lights up red, you're in a dangerous zone and then you get no, it's pretty fun. I played a little bit here and I heard you're pretty bad at it. I heard you just got getting beat Yeah, over and over again. That's for great.

Great. Great. Great. Far Cry New Dawn is out.

I'm like loosely curious about it, I guess I'd say. Did not like Far Cry 5, but this premise sounds like something I'll at least take a look at. February 15, we'll see if this holds because this looks like a pretty busy week here. Jump Force.

Oh, it was also due out, which I played back at E3 and did not like I didn't like it either. It's the first game I played at E3. Wasn't it almost the only game you played at E3 for a couple days? Yeah, it was like, yeah, because I didn't go to a lot of those pre-show events.

So that was like after the Microsoft thing, me and Brad went over to the hall where they had all that stuff set up. And the first thing I did is walk over, like, there's a Goku, something I can understand. I do not like the way half of those characters look like I like the look of it. I like the look of it.

The way you go looks is just fine. He's just too like realistic. Like they're like, they're the wrong damn dimension. Yeah.

See, I think the way you're talking about these characters is the same way some people are talking about the Pokemon in the Detective Pikachu trailer, but I think they both look just right. We're not talking about like a furry Goku or anything like that. But what if we were gross? What do you think?

What do you think Goku's persona would be? He's already turned into an ape. Oh, yeah. Oh, true.

My bad. Dark drum into the plot lore. Yeah. Deku looks good in the game, Ben.

Have you seen those screenshots? No, I haven't. He looks pretty good. Okay.

Looks like he fits. Have you seen Yugi? I have. He looks okay.
