Giants Shuffle Roster for Doubleheader
from California News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The Giants pulled off a doubleheader miracle after rain washed out their first game—moving Robbie Ray to the opener and calling up rookie lefty Carson Whisenhunt for Game 2. Ray shined, tossing six and a third innings in a 7-2 win, while Whisenhunt, sidelined since last year’s debut, gets another shot after losing his rotation spot. Meanwhile, Matt Gage returns from the IL to bolster the bullpen, while Reiver Sanmartin heads down and Will Brennan clears waivers. It’s a whirlwind roster shuffle to keep the momentum alive.
