On today’s episode we recorded the first in a new series of “Gibraltar Today – At The Beach”, live from the shores of Eastern Beach.Lincoln Red Imps triumphed over Hamrun Spartans in their Champions League qualifying match last night at the Europa Sports Complex. It was nail-biting game that went into extra time and penalties, but Lincoln kept their nerve to win the tie and progress. We spoke to the club’s Graham Torilla. We had a chat with Gibraltar Today’s producer Robin Sheppard-Capurro about taking Gibraltar Today to our local beaches.Jezmiah Negron, beach attendant at Eastern Beach, told us about her role in making sure the beach is accessible to all. And, local beach goer Matthew Perez spoke to us about why Eastern is his go-to spot in the summer and what makes it special to him, and touched upon the issues unique to Eastern Beach over the last few years.
