Gideon: Mentored & Empowered
from Mandated Hosted by Selwyn Basil
Joash, as many men, had a tremendous opportunity to not only stand up for his son and his actions, but to be a mentor in times of pressure. As we transition to the next stages of our lives, who we do we have in our corner pushing, guiding, directing and empowering us to be the best version of ourselves? Gideon was catapulted into a role that he considered not worthy to hold because of how he saw himself in the mirror. Though addressed by the angel of the Lord as a "mighty man of valor", he couldn't see it because he was a man under stress and pressure. We will not always have everything in place when it's time to transition upward. However, having the right support system can aid in navigating the path.
