Gift giving -- the good, the bad, and the returned

Gift giving can be a weird sticking point in relationships. You don't always know what to get your person, and it can also breed resentment if a gift is expected. Not to mention sometimes a gift lands and sometimes it really doesn't. This can get awkward for both the receiver and the giver. But boy, when a gift really lands...SUCH a great feeling!
