Gifts For A King

from Church? Hell No Hosted by Dennis Hall

Dr. Dennis Hall delves into the story in Matthew 2 which tells us that the Magi (Wise Men) from the East came to Jerusalem and had been following a star leading them to the newborn King of the Jews, Jesus. The star eventually led them to baby Jesus and his mother Mary. They bowed down and worshiped him and presented him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The value of these gifts is explained, along with the origins of these substances. Dr. Hall analyzes the symbolism of these gifts and why they were perfect for the King of Kings. This podcast ends with the question of what God really wants as a gift.
