Peter's fourth thing on his list to help believers endure in the end times is the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gifts different gifts to compliment each other. In 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Paul addresses those who abused their spiritual gifts. In Romans 12:1-8, Paul instructed the church on how to access the Holy Spirit and prevent diminishing the Spirit by quenching Him. These gifts are not to benefit you, but is for each other. Ephesians 4:7-16. Some are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers for equipping of the the saints, for the edigying of itself in love. If you withhold your gift from the church, you are showing that the church members do not matter to you. You are pumping blood only to yourself and not the rest of the body. You will have to answer to God why you did not minister when He instructed to you to minister. If you know the truth, you are to speak with authority as the voice/words of God. You will be called to minister in areas you are uncomfortable in to bring complete glory to God in your weakness. Your natural gifts/abilities done by your own strength are not your spiritual gifts. Where you are weak is where God is strong.
