Targeting the First Amendment, which includes protections for protest, press, religion, and speech, for abolishment is a recent trend for people in the establishment like John Kerry or Hillary Clinton. But how could anyone justify openly censoring and moderating all speech? Perhaps by spreading the most outrageous conspiracies and obviously fake pictures or videos to associate them with honest free-thought, and therefore to discredit it all in favor of a controlled narrative. A photograph of a little girl holding a puppy went viral with conservatives angry at the White House and its lack of a response to hurricane Helene; the picture was generated by AI. This allowed the media to claim that the image itself, and associated claims of $750 payments to victims of the storm, were both fake, even though the latter is an official policy.
