Girls Running is a book by Melody Fairchild (once the fastest girl in the world for her age) and Elizabeth Carey (writer and running coach), that aims to answer questions that girls and young women have about running, and how puberty and female hormones can affect performance. The book consists of 11 chapters starting with topics related to the physiology of running, and the changes that happen to women during puberty. The book goes on to discuss what constitutes a winning mindset, tips for "racing fierce", the importance of fuelling and problems with food and body issues, team building, and running gear.
