Edición de soul-jazz con algunas novedades e interesantes reediciones. El debut de Black Light Animals desde Kansas City toman como inspiración algunas bandas sonoras de terror del cine italiano de los 70 -Playboys of the Western World- lleva por título. Otra banda que toman una inspiración parecida para su debut es Whatitdo Archive Group con inspiraciones de Morricone, Sergio Leone o Antonioni -The Black Stone Affair-. Dos reediciones de lujo rescatadas de los archivos del sello Black Fire Records: Theatre West, un colectivo teatral de Ohio que plasmaron en un álbum algunas de las composiciones que tenían para sus actuaciones en 1976 y que quedó archivado inexplicablemente. Ahora ven la luz esas grabaciones para nuestro deleite. La otra reedición: Wayne Davis y su segundo disco de nombre homónimo. Cerramos esta edición con la versión en clave jazzística de "Woman of the Ghetto" realizada por la propia artista Marlena Shaw en la actuación que tuvo lugar en el Festival de Jazz de Montreux en 1973.
