Interesantes compilaciones de sellos especializados como Africa Seven, Analog Africa, Soul Jazz Records o Soundway Records. -Edo Funk Explosion- que recoge grabaciones de esa explosión sonora que fue el Edo Funk nacido en los 70 en la ciudad nigeriana de Benin. -Africa Airways- es la serie que recoge gemas sonoras africanas, en esta ocasión su volumen seis dedicado al funk hecho entre 1974 y 1981. -Cuba: Music and Revolution- es una compilación de los prestigiosos Gilles Peterson y Stuart Baker donde exploran grabaciones del nuevo sonido de la música cubana de los setenta, algunas de ellas, es la primera vez que se publican fuera de la isla. -Color de Trópico- es un interesante compilatorio que recoge ocho grabaciones entre 1966 y 1978 de Venezuela a base de salsa, jazz, funk y cumbia. -Straight from the Decks- recoge temas que el DJ francés afincado en Ibiza Guts, utiliza en sus sesiones. -Gumba Fire: Bubblegum Soul & Synth Boogie in 1980s South Africa- es una recopilación de temas sudafricanos de los años ochenta de un género que se dió allí conocido como Bubblegum.
