Giving and receiving Mentorship

from The Creative's Chronicles Podcast · host Bright Emeka

Today we focus on mentorships; the what, when and how. Regardless of the medium you choose to give back with, you must first have something of value to give. No one is under compulsion to be a mentor, there is no commandment anywhere that you must mentor people, but if do mentor others, your motives should not be ulterior. For mentees, the willingness to learn and ability to sit down and do the work is important. Mentorship is not a shortcut or an escape hatch. You have to be a self-starter too. Create structures and systems around your mentor/mentee relationship. There should be agreed date and time. Remember to go out and create Awesomeness, We would love to continue this conversation on Twitter, I encourage you to tweet @brightcemeka and @ukchukx.
