"Giving Up On Perfect" - Christmas is Not Your Birthday, Part 2

In part two of our Advent series, we looked at how the first Christmas came from a situation that was anything but "perfect." We so often try to have a flawless Christmas - or at least, one that appears to be so. But Christmas is so much more than projecting perfect circumstances, it is about celebrating God's presence among us even in the messiness of real life. We based our reflections on the angel's announcement to Mary in Luke 1, and also looked at the interesting people in Jesus' family tree. God puts the world right through the wrong kind of people.
