In this episode of Tell Me What You Know we're diving into Gladiators. These hardened slaves lived short lives fighting on behalf of their masters, sometimes with the hopes of winning their freedom. The most well known battleground was the Coliseum in Rome. It held 50,000 spectators and hosted hundreds of events each year. It even was capable of filling with water to conduct naval battles.
