The industry has warned that if the ban continues, there'll be catastrophic consequences on livelihoods. The ban is the second of its kind, the first one was imposed in late March when the government declared hard lockdown restrictions. The ban was subsequently lifted and reinstated last month. Isanti Glass and Consol are the southern African nations biggest suppliers to the alcohol and non-alcoholic beverage. They produce about five million bottles a year.
