Glinda of Oz Chapter 8 - Queen Coo-ee-oh

In which Princess Ozma and Dorothy signal the Skeezers and are drawn across a remarkable steel bridge to the island’s gleaming dome, where they find a beautiful yet solemn people ruled by the proud and formidable Queen Coo-ee-oh. Despite Ozma’s peaceful intentions and assertions of her rightful sovereignty, the Skeezers’ queen remains suspicious, defiant, and determined to keep the visitors captive as her realm braces for an impending conflict.
