FINALLY she's here, Kylie Minogue. The Australian Diva whom I've been a fan of ever since her first single release "The Locomotion" back in 1987 which she did for charity. This coupled with her popularity on the Australian tv soap "Neighbours" propelled her into a recording career that exploded in the late 80's and continued to grow and evolve in the 90's. Even though she was hugely popular in the mainstream pop charts in both Australia and the UK, it took persistence and dedication to gain acceptance in the broader music world as she was pidgeon holed as a 'pop princess'. As she matured, so did her music. Kylie delved into the Indie music genre as well as electronic house & club while still staying in touch with her pop roots.Over the years, Kylie has gained true 'Icon status' and has a fiercely loyal fan base around the world. As she is bringing her "Golden" tour to Sydney in March 2019 I decided to do as full a retrospective of her music anthology as I could. Volume 1 looks back at her early pop days when she was heavily linked to the Stock, Aitken, Waterman hit making machine in the UK. As we are looking back at Kylie's musical history, the set appropriately kicks of with her smash single "Step Back In Time". Her self titled debut album spawned hits such as "I Should Be So Lucky" & "Got To Be Certain". Her album "Enjoy Yourself" gave us "Hand On Your Heart" and "Never Too Late". "Rhythm Of Love" gave us her iconic hits "Better The Devil You Know", "Step Back In Time", "What Do I Have To Do" and "Shocked".These are all the original mixes of the day when the BPM was around 116 to 122.
