With a background in English second-language instruction, he most recently lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he spent a year teaching English as a Fulbright fellow. Patrick is an alumni of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest and Americorps; he speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
