Farida Osman is an Egyptian & African Record Holder, 2x Olympian, 2x world bronze medalist, NCAA champion and ISST record holder. Even more importantly, she is a role model for female athletes around the world. In this episode Farida talks about her journey from a youth swimmer in Egypt to competing on the world's stage. The conversation centers around Farida's time in high school as a student at Cairo American College and how she managed to balance her training, school work and personal life. Keeping females active in sports is a topic around the world but in African and Arab countries it is even harder as girls grow older. Farida talks about what it was like for her as a swimmer but also shares some of her plans for the next generation of Egyptians.
