Glorification of Venerable Herman of Alaska, Wonderworker of All America

Today we remember the glorification of Venerable Herman of Alaska, a monk who dedicated his life to serving God and the native peoples of northwestern America. Sent from the Valaam Monastery in 1793, he lived on Spruce Island for over forty years, teaching, caring for orphans, and defending the Aleut people. Father Herman was known for his deep faith, humility, and many miracles. Despite hardships and temptations, he remained steadfast in prayer and service. His life and work continue to inspire many as a witness of God's love and mercy.Support the show
