"Glory and Joy in God's Presence"

11 August 2025 Daily Devotion: "Glory and Joy in God's Presence" 1 Chronicles 16:27 New Living Translation 27 Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling. In Psalm 91:1 we read, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” What an encouraging and glorious promise! If we dwell in Christ, welive in and for Him, and if we do that, we'll “rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” What an amazing place to be. There's no way around it: in order to be in someone's shadow, we must be very close to him. Therefore, if we live in and for Christ, we'll be very close to Him. What could possibly bringus more joy than that? How do we live close to Jesus Christ? The Bible describes many ways: studying the Scriptures, praying to Him,worshipping Him, spending time in His presence, loving Him first and then all others, and obeying Him. Will you make a commitment to live close to Christ today?
