Glory Through the Cross | John 17:1-5
from Lenexa Baptist Church · host Pastor Luke Pauli
July 5th, 2026 Pastor Luke Pauli This weekend we kick off our new sermon series based on John 17. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at the longest prayer of Jesus recorded in Scripture. Commonly titled “The High Priestly Prayer,” Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples, and all believers. This prayer gives us a glimpse into His very heart. It has been said that if you really want to know a person’s heart, you need to listen to them pray. Jesus invites you and me into His prayer so that we will know with certainty what is on His heart. What we will discover in this study is that you are on His heart. Jesus loves you so much that He died for you. He prayed for you as the hour came for Him to be crucified, and He is praying for you even now. Join us as we embark on this study throughout the month of July. Be in prayer that you will grow closer in your relationship with Jesus. Read John 17 repeatedly for your own encouragement and perhaps even memorize it. Invite a friend to join with you at any of our services or campuses. Pray boldly that Jesus will be glorified in your life, in the life of our church, and in the lives of those who have yet to believe.
