GMSA Petitions Parliament Over Mission Schools: “Stop Forcing Muslim Students to Attend Church”

The Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) has petitioned Parliament over concerns about the treatment of Muslim students in Christian mission schools.GMSA is calling on Parliament’s Committee on Chieftaincy, Culture and Religious Affairs to engage mission schools over allegations that some Muslim students are compelled to attend church services and face restrictions on practising their faith.The Association says religious freedom and tolerance must be respected in Ghana’s government-assisted mission schools, while stressing that it would equally oppose Muslim schools forcing Christian students to participate in Islamic worship.Support the show
