Go In Peace

“And He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.’” (Mark 5:34) Yes, we can trust. It is the gift of God. Not one person can claim they are the author of their faith. We are exercisers of the trust gifted. We act with trust all the time. Like flipping a light switch or sitting in a chair and quickly forgetting your body is at its mercy. When flying, we trust the pilot, mechanics, FAA employees, and the company that owns and operates the plane. I know people who so distrust the airlines that they will drive clear across the country, trusting a million other folk with their lives. The point of trust is that we always act on it, and once we trust the thing, we kick back and just be. When we rest in Jesus, we trust Him with our beginning and end. Climb up into Jesus’s lap and take a nap. Jesus, I go in peace trusting You.
