God and Government

Without the moral authority of God and without people being self-governing under the moral authority of God, you have chaos and confusion.Government matters because righteousness and justice matter to King Jesus.Growing in maturity requires taking a biblical approach to the issues of the day, and not being led by our emotions or the “way” we were raised. If you love your nation more than you love God, that’s not patriotism that’s idolatry. However if you love God but are indifferent to the spiritual health of the nation you live, that's not holiness that’s foolishness. “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”Jeremiah 29:7 ESV
