God and His Earthly Temple
from Bible Insights with Wayne Conrad Hosted by Wayne A Conrad
Send us Fan Mail The sermon explores the tragic departure of God's glory from the earthly temple due to the severe idolatry and abominations committed by the people of Israel. It traces the historical significance of the tabernacle and Solomon's temple as places where Yahweh dwelt in concentrated presence among His covenant people. The preacher contrasts this holy dwelling with the spiritual corruption that forced God to vacate Jerusalem, highlighting the seriousness of mixing pagan practices with true worship. Ultimately, the message points to Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the earthly temple and emphasizes the need for believers to approach God with reverence and holiness through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
