God Created Man as His Image, Thus Making Man Himself the Image of God in Christ Jesus

As a born again believer you can be deceived by the devil to fall into the same trap that Adam and Eve fell into in the Garden of Eden.The Father of Lies Tempted Them to become something that God had already made them.For God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the GodHead) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have complete authority and dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.; [Ps. 104:30; Heb. 1:2; 11:3.] So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. [Col. 3:9, 10; James 3:8, 9.]”in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis ‭1:26-27‬)The serpent, the devil said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. (Genesis ‭3:4-5)‬ The devil tempted them to give up their birthright, who God created them to be – themselves, the Image and Likeness of God Who Created them.‭Remember, The devil does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar himself and the father of lies and of all that is false. (John‬ ‭8:44‬)They were already made like God. God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26-27, ‭5:1)‬The Image of God is not so much something that man bears as something that man is. Hebrew, but the point is that the grammar favors the translation "God created man as His image" over "God created man in His image." As Cline puts it in his concluding remarks: "Thus we may say that according to Genesis 1, man does not have the image of God, nor is he made in the image of God, but is himself the image of God." Humankind, then, was created to be a "copy" or a "graphic image" of the Creator – a formal, visible, and understandable representation of who God is and what He is really like.To put it another way, it is precisely the Image of God that makes man human; man could not lose the Image without ceasing to be what he is. Furthermore, it is only because he retains it, even in a broken or distorted form, that man is redeemable and worth redeeming. Without it, God would have had no reason or motivation to send His Son to die on our behalf.They could not have been any more like God without being God. God made them comparable to Him. God made them in Our Image and Likeness, to Have Complete Authority and Dominion over the things on the earth, and Over All the Earth.The Deception of the Enemy is to Keep you from Knowing Who you Are and What You Have in Christ Jesus – you're a New Creation, a Saint, a Child of the Living God, a Member of God's Own Family and His Household, Who Citizenship Is in Heaven and You Have the Bonus, Courage and Confidence of Free Access, and Unreserved Approach to God with freedom and without fear. (2 Cor 5:17, Ephesians 2:19, Philippians 3:20, Ephesians ‭3:12‬)Listen If the devil can tempt you to want what God has already given you freely, by making you think that you have to earn it or you're not good enough… Then he makes you want what you already have in Christ Jesus.As a child of God, you don't merit favor with God by your works or your own efforts. For it is by Grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through faith. And this salvation is not of yourselves of your own doing, it came not through your own striving, but it is the gift of God; Not because of works, not the fulfillment of the Law's demands, lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself. (Ephesians ‭2:8-9‬)
