GOD HONOURS ACTIVE FAITH

Devotional Message: Scripture: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” – James 1:22 (NKJV) Faith is not just believing that God can; it is living in a way that proves you believe He will. Active faith moves beyond agreement in the mind—it is expressed through obedience, risk, and trust in God’s promises. Throughout the Bible, we see that God responds to faith in motion. The woman with the issue of blood did not just believe Jesus could heal her; she pushed through the crowd to touch His garment. Noah didn’t just believe a flood was coming; he built the ark. When we take steps of faith—whether small or bold—we invite God to move in ways that exceed our expectations. Active faith says, “Lord, I trust You enough to act on Your Word, even before I see the result.” It often requires leaving your comfort zone, enduring criticism, or doing things that seem unreasonable to human logic. But those who move at God’s word experience His supernatural intervention. Today, you may be standing at a crossroads—between simply believing and taking a faith-filled step. Remember, God honors the one who does what they believe, not just the one who says they believe. Faith without works is lifeless; but faith in action draws heaven’s attention. Today ask yourself: Is there an area where you’ve been waiting for God to move, but He’s waiting for you to take the first step? Prayer: Almighty Father, help me not just to hear Your Word but to live it out boldly. Give me the courage to act on my faith, trusting that You will honour my obedience. Amen.
