God is Judge

This sermon was preached on 07/9/23 at First Christian Church in Wilmington, Illinois.Psalm 9 portrays David's understanding of the chaos caused by sin in this world. David realizes the extent of sin's destructive nature, which can consume one's entire life. However, he also acknowledges his guilt and the consequences of his actions. Despite this, there is hope for redemption through confessing sins and seeking salvation from God, who has the power to save. Through God's mercy, delivered through Jesus Christ, sin no longer has the power to destroy. Thus, we are called to praise God for His perfect justice, mercy, and guidance in our lives.
