Scripture  Isaiah 40:28–31 (NRSV)  Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God,  the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary;  His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the faint,  and strengthens the powerless.  Even youths will faint and be weary,  and the young will fall exhausted;  but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,  they shall mount up with wings like eagles,  they shall run and not be weary,  they shall walk and not faint.Refrain  God moves slowly, but never late.Quote Pierre Teilhard de Chardin  “Above all, trust in the slow work of God.  We are quite naturally impatient in everything  to reach the end without delay.  We should like to skip the intermediate stages.  We are impatient of being on the way to something unknown,  something new.  Only God could say what this new spirit  gradually forming within you will be.  Give our Lord the benefit of believing  that His hand is leading you,  and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself  in suspense and incomplete.” Hosted on Acast.
