God isn't lying or misleading us in the many scriptures that reveal himself to us as a God with emotions, feelings, and even sadness and anger over things that have happened. He is not immune to what happens, and clearly what humans do does distress and bother God. In considering how God is sovereign, we must consider how he is also personal.
