God Loves a Cheerful Giver

Paul urges the Corinthians to complete the collection for the saints in Jerusalem that they had begun a year earlier. Whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully, so each one gives as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. The grace of Christ, who became poor so that his people might become rich, moves believers to give joyfully and to show kindness and hospitality to one another.
