God Must Be Ugly

Ordained minister, Dennis Hall, and his guess Dr. Mark Ford, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Highlands, NC discuss the notion that some have that if they were created in the image of God, He must be ugly, based on the marred condition of their lives as a result of the sinful and evil decisions that they have made. God's attributes are explored with a focus on His love, and the ways that He created love in man. The spiritual, intellectual and moral likeness of God seen in man is discussed, proving that we are created in God's image. God gave man the ability to know right from wrong and we sin anyway. The propensity to sin is driven by a concept in the Scripture known as pride, which causes us to behave like we are God. The Scripture does not say "Blessed are the strong." God calls man out of our weaknesses, without our brokenness there would be no need for God.  This discussion takes listeners to the point where it is recognized that God is not ugly, He is beautiful!
