Day 208 | Isaiah 58:1–63:14God calls out His people for their hypocrisy—performing religious rituals while ignoring justice, mercy, and compassion. He makes it clear that true worship involves caring for the poor, freeing the oppressed, and honoring others. In contrast to this rebuke, Isaiah 60–61 paints a stunning picture of hope: the coming glory of Jerusalem and the mission of the Lord’s Anointed. Quoting directly from Isaiah 61, Jesus declares in Luke 4 that He is the fulfillment of the prophecy—to bring good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, and proclaim freedom for captives.
