God Requires Hospitality (Heb 13.1-6) - 10-3-21

Scripture texts are Genesis 18.1-8 and Hebrews 13.1-6. Our subject is "God Requires Hospitality."If Jesus can wash the crusty feet of the Apostles, surely, we can show hospitality to others. Our actions reflect the character of Jesus. Hospitality is a requirement. How do we meet God’s requirements? Consider the text in Hebrews.I.We meet God’s requirements by loving others compassionately. (v1)II.We meet God’s requirements by following the Golden Rule. (v2)III.We meet God’s requirements by caring for the least of them. (v3)IV.We meet God’s requirements by honoring the sanctity of marriage. (v4)V.We meet God’s requirements by being satisfied with our blessings. (v5)Hospitality begins at home. It extends to our family and friends, including the body of Christ. It goes throughout our communities and into the world. God requires hospitality. He died so that we might live, so that we would be a living testimony of the goodness of God, so that we might be that walking sermon that someone needs to see. Amen.
