God Rescues Me from My Attitudinal "Slimy Pit" (Where I Have Abandoned Me)

Yes, I really can be my own worst enemy.  Yes, I can find myself in great spiritual darkness.  God, however, knows when I have laid seige to my own life without a cause.  God knows when I decide to turn on myself because sometimes self-reproach is what I desire.  What triggers this behavior, or this journey into the Slough of Despond?  God will not leave me to my own devices.  He will come to me where I have abandoned myself because he loves me.
