8-1-2021 Weekly Message Meditation of the Week: Psalm 91:1-16 Text: Haggai 2:1-9 Word Title:  God Shaking the Heavens, and the Earth, and the Sea, and the Dry Land     In the words of prophecy spoken to the Israelites came out of Egypt through the prophet Haggai long ago, he foretold what would happen in heavens  and on earth when the Lord Jesus Christ appears to judge the world sooner or later after the great tribulation: ” According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. 6For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:5-7).          Almost every day we see are hearing the signs that God is shaking all nations in this age in which we live. Thunderstorms and thunderbolts in the sky and on earth, and floods, earthquakes, tornados, volcanoes, and forest fires on the earth, we are seeing and hearing things that are constantly happening. All of this seem to be the prelude to the Great Tribulation that will soon come upon the world after the rapture lifting up the regenerated brides of Christ into the heavens.          Prophet Isaiah also saw this and foretold: ”  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 2For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. 3Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. 4And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. 5For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. 6The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. 8For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion..” (Isaiah 34:1-8)         How could God’s judgment be so unimaginably disastrous as these prophets’ prophecies? Most people may think that, but when we see the disasters that are happening all over the nations at the same time these days, we have to keep these things in our heart now is the time to come wake up mentally and spiritually trusting and serving God with fear and trembling.          Prophet Haggai foretold, “The ‘desire’ of all nations shall come.” What the nations aspire to is what the Bible testifies and says: ” For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.… The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.… Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.…. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.…. The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.  ” (Psalm 54:7;59:10;92:11;112:8;118) :7)         That’s right! God’s people desire for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, opening the gates of heaven and appears to judge the nations of the world only to avenge for the people of God as well as his children.          Apostle Peter also testified in detail about the events of that day, exhorting the saints in the end times to live  godly: ” Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,” (2 Peter 3:3-14).          When Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrews, he testified once again by recalling the prophecy spoken through the prophet Haggai: “For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: 20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) 22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29For our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:18-29).        The prophet Enoch prophesied that when the Lord Jesus Christ, our desire, would come down to the earth to judge the world, he would come with his bride, the raptured saints: ” And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 1:14-15).           Apostle John also saw and testified  that the Lord Jesus Christ come with the raptured saints, opening the gates of heaven and dividing the heavens: ” And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.…. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11, 14,15, 16) Amen! Hallelujah!
